Well, well... Here at Industrial Polygons, we compensate for our general deficiency in what others might describe as usefulness, or what even fancier people would call ability, with mild interest and half-hearted enthusiasm. We take pride in our non-conformist ways, boy!
Industrial Polygons' foremost aim is to draw non-professionals and hobbyists seeking to develop 'l33t skillz' to a community where they'll be among themselves. Someday, we might release some viable or entertaining software, but its primarily the 'journey' that motivates us.
It should be noted that we're mainly focused on gaming development. Though, occasionally we engage in other pursuits.
Our 'toolkit' most commonly includes the following software:
Essentially, this blog will...
1.) Cover with inconsistent detail the development of Industrial Polygons' various projects.
2.) Offer unique insight into the struggles associated with learning to use complicated software.
3.) Submit ambitious and grand ideas/schemes to pursue.
(...though sometimes without a means/understanding of ways to execute said scheme...)
Conversely, we'll strive to avoid making this blog...
1.) Excessively garrulous. We're not here to discuss the weather, son!
2.) ..engage in 'emo', self-pity, hippy stuff.
(Though, expressing frustration or self-pity due to a lack of talent is appropriate at least sometimes, I think...)
It should also be noted that we're presently a 1-man organization: ME!
If this journal would happen to attract anyone's attention who may wish to -join up-, feel free to get in contact.
Hopefully, the next post will contain a detailed summary and progress report of our current projects.
